A cultural evening dedicated to the 100th birth Anniversary of Charles Aznavour and the International Day of Peace

On 20 September 2024, with the collaboration of the Embassy of Armenia in India and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), a cultural evening dedicated to the 100th birth Anniversary of Charles Aznavour and the International Day of Peace took place in New Delhi. The "Klingen" chamber ensemble, which is in India for a concert series organized by the Embassy, performed during the event.
Armenia’s Ambassador to India, Vahagn Afyan, the Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Kumar Tuhin, as well as ambassadors, diplomats, representatives of the Rotary district club, and many distinguished guests attended the event.
The ensemble, led by Sipan Olah, founder and artistic director of the "Klingen" choir and cultural association, conductor, tenor, pianist, and maestro, presented works by Charles Aznavour, as well as compositions by Aram Khachaturian, Arno Babajanyan, and Ghazaros (Lazarus) Saryan.
The ensemble’s performance was warmly received by the audience, earning their admiration and enthusiastic applause.
